Note that each week is limited to 16 persons so space is limited! Don't wait
too long or we will fill up and you will miss out on a great opportunity. The
three weeks for next year will involve excavations of exciting new sauropod and stegosaurus finds - a truly
rare and unique experience! This is an important excavation, limited to the more experienced participants and because of
the nature of the work, the crew will rotate between excavation and exploration
in order to gain a break from the meticulous tedium required in properly
excavating such specimen (but still fun!).
Weeks one, two and three are planned for the "Little Snowy Mountains Sauropod and Stegosaurus Project 2008" near Billings, Montana.
Don't be intimidated if you are serious about dinosaurs and willing to learn
and do the hard and tedious work required to participate. We are quite willing
to train you, but please do consider that this is for the serious individual
and not just the casual vacationer. Work is hard, intense and tedious, and hot
and dusty. You must be dedicated to learning and following instruction. In the
case of the associated specimen, this year especially, we encourage experienced
applicants in order to ensure a smooth excavation of the specimen. However,
there is still room for you even if you are not, as long as you are serious
about this program and willing to follow the leaders as they train you in the
proper techniques.
